The Department of Orthodontics, Sri Sai College of Dental Surgery was one of the Knowledge Partners, part of the Andhra Pradesh Orthodontic Study Group involved in organization of The 50th IOC, Hyderabad, 11-13th Dec, 2015. This was a milestone conference as it marked the Golden Jubilee Conference of the Indian Orthodontic Society and it was a privilege for our college to be involved in this grand event.
Sri Sai College of Dental Surgery in association with AVNI Health Foundation conducted a Workshop on "Oral Health & HIV/AIDS". In an effort towards social welfare, this lecture was organized to increase awareness regarding HIV infection.
A student can get only as good as the teacher is. Hence, the college conducted a training programme for young aspiring teachers from DIET in 2015. District Institute of Education and Training (DIET) is the most significant educational intervention in the country. Its purpose is to conduct different kinds of training programmes which can improve the quality of basic education. Allthe H.M’s of the schools in Vikarabad mandal were given training on oral health education and AID’s awareness.
Sri Sai College of Dental Surgery was the organizing institute for the 6th National PG Students Convention, Indian Academy of Public Health Dentistry, 25-27/05/2012. This convention witnessed participation of delegates from all over the country with numerous scientific presentations.

Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery were pleased to have Dr. Jitske Nolte, Consultant Maxillofacial Surgeon, Amsterdam Medical Centre; Netherlands visit the college and guide our students. She has over 2 years academic experience to her credit with particular research focus on unilateral condylar hypoplasia. She manages the Outpatient Department at AMC Hospital and is a member of the board. She interacted with the students about her experience in the field and extended her professional guidance for our young maxillofacial surgeons

In 2013, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery organized a lecture by Dr. Robert Gassner on “Craniofacial trauma management and reconstruction on of residual deformities” for the staff and postgraduate students.
The institution conducts several special camping programmes which form an integral part of the National Service Scheme giving our students an opportunity for interacting with the local community, inculcating the spirit of team work amongst them and motivating them to harbour a helpful attitude towards upliftment of weaker sections of our community.
In addition to developing academic skills, the institution also believes in nurturing well rounded personalities in students. With this aim in mind, the college held a guest lecture by Dr. B.V.Patthabi Ram (PhD) on “Personality Enhancement & Social Counselling”. The diverse experiences of this esteemed speaker were called upon to help our students expand their horizons for a brighter future.
